Who is this guy?

Will Bartos is the online rambling presence on the site that is the Yellow Jacket Guy.

He has had four years of fantastic yet unpaid journalistic experience on the now defunct Transformonline.com, where he and a colleague kept the culture section filled with random stuff about games, anime, and other stuff.  He ended up starting Yellowjacketguy.com on a whim, partly because he wanted to share his opinions with the world, thinking he had a voice, but mostly because he was bored and needed something to do with all the games he has.

Why the guy with the "yellow jacket"?

It all started with my father-in-law.  He ended up giving me a Land's End "Regular Squall Jacket" (yes, I looked it up, it's the closest thing to what it is, and the name connection to that Final Fantasy VIII character is purely coincidental.  I swear).  Now I live in a place that I consider to be cold.  I don't like the cold.  I was raised in the southwest for most of my life, and even though I've lived here for over a decade, I'm still not used to the cold.  During this time, I was working for what was known as EB Games, before Gamestop swallowed them whole.  I would open the store and continue to wear the jacket for as long as it was cold - which for me, was a really long time.  I would often wear it outside store hours and people would recognize me as the "EB guy".

Fast forward a couple years and a new job away from retail.  I was wearing the jacket and looking at XBox 360s, when someone asked my opinion on the system.  He had no clue I used to work at the stores, nor did he recognize the jacket.  A half-an-hour and one dinner later, I'm talking with my wife about the whole thing, and she says that I wasn't the EB Guy so much as the "Yellow Jacket Guy".  I added the ".com" to see if there was a nice ring to it, and it just sort of worked out.  So no, I do not sell these fine yellow jackets.  No, seriously.  They don't come in yellow anymore.
